Salary and Benefits
Starting salary of $38,000 - $42,000 is dependent on education
(in approved field of study), military and job experience.

$5,700 - $21,400 paid by the county toward the cost of insurance yearly

In addition to being a U.S. citizen, applicants must be 18 years of age; have a high school diploma or GED;
possess a valid Driver’s License; stable employment history; honorable military discharge; no felony
convictions or pattern of misdemeanor convictions, including traffic violations. In addition, applicants
must provide acceptable or passing test scores from one of the following tests:
SAT, ACT, COMPASS, ASSET or ACCUPLACER.
Applicant must pass a physical agility test; background investigation, which includes polygraph and
psychological; interview; and drug screen.

Physical Agility Test Requirements
All exercises must be completed, if you quit or these exercises are not completed in the listed times, it is required to wait 6 months before testing again.
Sit-ups: 25 in two (2) minutes
Feet can be held during sit-ups if needed.
Push-ups: 15 in two (2) minutes
Male: Military Style Push-up
Female: Modified Military Style Push-up
Run: 1-Mile in thirteen (13) minutes
Mile run is after the push-ups and set-ups portion of the test.
