Every effort will be made by the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, E-911 Division, to prevent loss of life, protection of property and assist any citizen in their time of crisis.  This will be done by promptly and accurately processing all calls for service emanating from both incorporated and unincorporated areas of Bartow County and the county’s public safety agencies.

E-911 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  This division consists of four 12-hour shifts that operate 7 am – 7 pm and 7 pm – 7 am.  Fully staffed the Communication Center consists of a Lieutenant, Sergeant and 4 Communication Officers per shift.  The E-911 Division handles communications for Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, all law enforcement municipalities within the county, City and County Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services.

 

Communication Officers are trained to assist callers with their individual request for law enforcement, fire and medical assistance.  The training includes completion and certification in Basic Communications through the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Center maintaining current certification in CPR, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Georgia Crime Information Center, National Incident Management System as well as a six-month program implemented in the E-911 Center and continuing education yearly.

All requests for E-911 records (audio recordings and/or CAD – Computer Aided Dispatch reports) must be submitted to the Records Division via email at “records@bartow.org” or by submitting an Open Records Request Form.
