In 2002, The Bartow County Sheriff's Office implemented the Citizen's Academy. The program is to establish a better relationship and understanding between the Bartow County Sheriff's Office and the public we serve.

This program is offered each Spring and Fall.  It is an eight week program that meets one night a week and gives our citizens an inside look at the daily operations of each division within the Sheriff’s Office.  Applications are taken the month prior to the class and background checks are conducted on each applicant.  Upon completion of the program, class members are allowed the opportunity to participate in 3 ride-alongs with eligible departments.

 

You must be a Bartow County resident to participate in this program.
