Communications Officer

Qualified applicants will be assigned to receive and prioritize and dispatch emergency and non-

emergency Fire, Law Enforcement, and medical calls for service.
 

No experience is necessary.  
 

Salary and Benefits
Starting salary of $29,244.80 to $29, 827.20 dependent on education


 (in approved field of study), military and job experience.


In addition to starting salary range, communication officers are guaranteed


8 hours overtime(time and a half) a pay period, when working regular scheduled hours.


(208 hours yearly)

Applicant will have access to, and work with, safety sensitive and  lawfully protected information. This

position requires the applicant  be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age; have a high school diploma or GED;

possess a valid Driver’s License; stable employment history; honorable military discharge; no felony

convictions or pattern of misdemeanor convictions, including traffic violations. In addition, applicants

must pass a listening skills test and provide acceptable or passing test scores from one of the following

test:


SAT, ACT, COMPASS or ASSET.


  Applicant must  also clear a background investigation, which includes polygraph and psychological;

interview; and drug screen.
